Thanks to the marketing team at Google for the support. This is the first time a third party product has ever been featured on Google’s homepage. For now, only IE users in the US will see the promo.

Being a (gasp) Firefox user, didn’t know that until just now. Opened up IE… and enjoyed seeing that! Sweet. Is this a 1 day thing, or a longer run?

I assume Google hosts its own downloads. I’d love to see the download counter.
It’s been pointed out to me that technically this isn’t the first third party product to be on their homepage — they’ve previously run promos for Google Pack (which is all third party software) and for CBS and the NBA as part of Google Video.
Has it already been removed? I just made my way over there in IE at work… and I’m not seeing it.
